Memorandum of Understanding Between HJC and PACC


Dec 3, 2017 –  A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between High Judicial Council represented by His Excellency Chancellor Emad Saleem Sa’ad and Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission represented by Head of Commission Dr. Rafeeq Shaker Natsheh. The MOU was signed as an attempt to unify the national efforts as one of the essential principles of implementing the national strategy of combatting corruption for the years 2015-2018 and to enhance the mutual cooperation and coordination to achieve the vision of the Commission based on a Palestinian environment full of integrity, transparency and accountability including the role of the judiciary in solving cases.

His Excellency Chancellor Emad Saleem Sa’ad welcomed the Head of Commission and affirmed that this agreement enhances the integral relations between them and assures the mutual cooperation. His Excellency also emphasized the efforts of the High Judicial Council to implement the items of the MOU including capacity development to have a Palestinian community free of corruption.

On his side, Al Natsheh stated “I am happy to be here and join you in this national event and I would like to express my appreciation for Chief Justice, Head of Supreme Court, for this cooperation contributing to serve our nation in Judiciary.

It is worth noting the MOU consists of Capacity Development for the staff and judges of High Judicial Council especially for the departments and courts concerned with transparency and integrity and searching for the best method for accelerating litigation regarding the corruption cases.
