Chief Justice Participates in the Launching of Al-Quds Academy for Global Justice

Feb 5, 2017 – Under the patronage of H.E. President Mahmoud Abbas and in the presence of consuls, ambassadors, diplomatic representatives and Palestinian officials; Chief Justice Chancellor Emad Saleem Saad participated in the Launching of Al-Quds Academy for Global Justice at al-Quds University. The new academy is considered specialized institution aims to prepare academic and training programs in the field of litigation process before courts specifically in international criminal law and violations of human rights.  

Chancellor Sa'ad indicated that these efforts came within integrative roles of Palestinian institutions through unification of all efforts between public sector and academic sector to enhance work with partners and donors and to enhance the pillars of justice sector.

H. E. passed his congratulations for the opening of this academy under all circumstances that Palestinians have been experienced and under ongoing violations of occupation specially their right for self-determination and building the State of Palestine and at the time we are in deep need for international community justice to support our legitimate rights.

Chief Justice also mentioned that most of recent laws were issued and harmonized in accordance to international and regional conventions.

For his part, the former Prosecutor of ICC Luis Moreno Ocampo emphasized the importance of launching of such academy which will enhance building capacity in judiciary and legal issues on international levels especially at the international Criminal Court.
