Chief Justice Meets "Sawasya Program 2" Delegation


On Oct 17, 2018 – Chief Justice Chancellor Emad Saleem Saad met with the delegation from Sawasya Program (2) chaired by new Director D. Christopher Decker, Program Management Specialist Ms. Willemijn van Lelyveld, Chief Technical Specialist Mr. Filippo Di Carpigena and Strategic Policy Advisor Mr. Omar Asoli with participation from Chief Justice Advisor Odai Zayod, Eng. Mervat Ghazal, IT Manager Ahmad Shehada and public relations.

H.E. welcomed the attendees expressing that SAWASYA Program is included within Justice Sector Strategy especially in the technical field in cooperation with Planning Department. The attendees also discussed the future mechanism of supporting High Judicial Council and ways to develop MEZAN after taking into consideration comments and feedback from all partners who are currently using it.  

For his part, D. Decker thanked H.E. for his kind reception assuring the importance of the meeting especially during the inception phase of the program through which all documentation and budget allocation will be done to continue the implementations of the program. He also talked about the distinguished work of MIZAN Program and its achievements that have been done in courts. 


Mr. Zayod mentioned the importance of identifying areas and paths of work of the program whether by supporting infrastructure or providing trainings, in order to start working in parallel to the allocated budget.
