April 2, 2018 – Chief Justice Chancellor Emad Saleem Sa’ad met with Governor of Palestinian Monetary Authority Mr. Azzm Shawwa to discuss ways of cooperation.
During the meeting, the attendees discussed methods that find radical solutions for backlog executive cases in regular courts related to lending institutions; in addition to find joint work mechanism regarding the payments of financially troubled individuals who have been received detention orders by providing opportunities for them to do payments during non-working hours.
Mr. Shawwa assured PMA readiness to implement specialized training for judges on credit cases, cybercrimes, terrorism combat and money laundry, he also emphasized the importance of reactivating the agreement between HJC and PMA and adding amendments to it to enhance database for the Credit Registry System through the use of courts decisions related to cases of banks and specialized lending institutions.
His Excellency, Chancellor Sa’ad confirmed that HJC will allocate specialized judges to consider commercial cases.
