On Nov 23, 2015 - High Judicial Council held workshop on Judicial Authority strategic plan 2014-2016 within Core of Excellence Program and implemented in cooperation with "Enhancing Palestinian Justice "project funded by UNDP. The workshop targeted chiefs of Dewan and administrative employees in courts of Ramallah, Salfeet, Jericho and Bethlehem to engage them with the strategic objectives of HJC and to identify the roles of different departments in executing HJC plan.
Secretary-General Judge Nassar Mansour opened the workshop emphasizing that the efficiency of courts' work mechanism based on planning according to needs and goals, employing of capabilities and expertise and supervising over work progress.
For his part, Enhancing Palestinian Justice Project Manager Abed Abu-Shamsieh assured that the goal of Core of Excellence program is to achieve coordination and consistency between strategic planning and fieldwork in courts. He also praised the capacity of workers in HJC and courts and indicated different activities that program is performing, for example: rehabilitation of buildings and courts, building the capacity of employees and judges.
Mr. Tareq Shamieh from Core of Excellence Program delivered a presentation on Core of Excellence program showing the results of self-assessment which was done in courts.
A supervisor in Planning Unit presented a brief idea about the strategic plan and ways to form it, at the end, Chief Dewan of High Court of Justice gave instructions about the roles of courts departments in achieving the plan.
It is worth noting that High Judicial Council policy is constantly looking at new ways to upgrade and improve the efficiency of courts employees.
