Planning and Project Management Unit

 Planning and Project Management Unit was established in 2008 under direct supervision of chief justice. This unit came to support Palestinian judicial system by providing strategic long-term and medium-term plans for High Judicial Council; ensuring consistent and coherent actions among all relevant parties in justice sector.

 

Planning and Project Management Unit seeks to guarantee executing plans through:

  • Institutionalize work mechanism for Palestinian Judicial Authority as independent, impartial and transparent authority to create collaborative relationship between existing justice institutions and national and formal institutions.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with High Judicial Council Departments to prepare annual plans and build strategic partnership to execute projects as planned.
  • Develop courthouses procedures and infrastructure to ensure effective litigation process, implementation of case management system and guarantee fair and speedy trial; provide capacity building to High Judicial Council staff; modernize courthouses buildings for better implementation of information technology system; provide means of safety and stability to safeguard citizens' rights and protect public and personal fundamental freedoms; ensure public access to justice.
